Act 14 of 2022 provides residents with the opportunity to review Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) permits prior to issuance. Signed by Governor Tom Wolfe, Act 14 of 2022 allows residents to participate in the review process by making comments on submitted applications in 30 days before DEP decisions. 

The DEP offers an e-notification subscription that allows residents to receive electronic copies of permit applications sent to municipalities via certified mail at their email address.

To date, Cecil Township has received no notifications of pending permit applications for oil and gas development from the DEP. Any permit applications we receive will be posted here, and notifications will be sent to all subscribers of the listserv.
