The Pennsylvania Right-to-Know Law was first introduced on March 29, 2007, by Senator Dominic Pileggi in Senate Bill 1 and signed into law on February 14, 2008. The current law took effect on January 1, 2009. Most records of a public entity such as local government, state government, etc. are considered open to the public but must be requested using the Right-to-Know form provided by each agency.
