Parks and Recreation Board

Cecil Township is seeking qualified applicants to fill vacancies on the Parks and Recreation Board. The Parks and Recreation Board is a recommending body to the Cecil Township Board of Supervisors and is tasked with planning and coordinating community events throughout the year.   

The Parks and Recreation Board meets on the first Thursday of every month. This Board makes recommendations on rules and regulations for pavilion rentals and plans a variety of events throughout the calendar year such as:

  • Easter Egg Hunt
  • Car Cruise
  • Fall Festival
  • Movie Nights in the Park
  • Touch-a-Truck
  • The Trial of Treats
  • Fishing Derby

Appointments to this Board are made by the Supervisors at their annual reorganization meeting held each January or when a vacancy occurs.

Residents interested in serving are encouraged to submit a letter of interest and resume to the Township Manager for consideration. The position is open until filled.
