Fire Departments

On June 14, 2021, Noel "Mac" McMullen became the first Fire Chief and Emergency Management Coordinator overseeing all fire departments and activities as well as all emergencies in Cecil Township. 

Cecil Township has three volunteer fire companies, Lawrence Fire Company #1, Muse Fire Company #2, and, Cecil Fire Company #3. Each provides fire protection and other emergency services for the community. These companies have trained and dedicated people who give up their free time to provide these services, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The Township Supervisors have assessed an annual tax of 0.27 mills to help with the financial needs of the Fire Department. The amount collected is divided evenly among the companies, but your support and contributions are greatly needed and appreciated. Fire Insurance Specifications

Please remember to specify on your fire insurance that you live in Cecil Township, especially if you have a zip code other than 15321. The Fire Department receives money from insurance carriers but you must be sure to state that you live in Cecil Township, not McDonald or Canonsburg.
