Cecil Township employs a full-time Public Works Department consisting of the Public Works Director and ten members, including the Road Foreman. The Public Works Department maintains approximately 74 miles of Township owned roads. (PennDOT maintains 31 miles of state highway in Cecil Township). The Department provides year round maintenance services which include snow and ice removal, asphalt patching and paving, roadway surface treatments, storm drainage, signs, brush cutting and right-of-way maintenance.
Cecil Township Parks are also maintained under the supervision of the Public Works Department, using a combination of full-time and part-time employees. There are approximately ten acres of Township recreational space with locations in Cecil, Lawrence, Hendersonville, Muse and Southview.
The Township maintains an up-to-date equipment fleet with the establishment of a Capital Equipment Fund.
