The Cecil Township Police Department is located at the Municipal Building at 3599 Millers Run Road. There are currently 14 full-time officers on the force. The Department provides 24 hour service, patrolling approximately 170,000 miles per year. Additionally, the department conducts crime prevention programs for the businesses and residents. It also sends certified instructors to the Canon-McMillan School District Intermediate Schools for the "Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program.
